Best setting you've been in.

Everything can be placed here that has no place in the other topics, lucid dreaming, combinations of psychedelics, you name it , its here.

my favorite settings so far (in no particular order)

-prettiest setting, outdoors walking through a field of tall grass at night, every touch evoking sights and sounds

-making music with friends, getting lost in shared creative acts

-at home in my studio with some paintings, art books, lots of blank paper and pen and a word processor. when it comes to using psychedelics for personal development, this is by far the most useful setting i've been in. i can relax and take my time without distractions that constantly pull me out of trance and disrupt my thought patterns
I have made a ceaseless effort not to ridicule, not to bewail, not to scorn human actions, but to understand. -Spinoza

After coming down from an intense trip the after glow always includes a a state of sensual peace with heighted senses, that's the moment to enter nature IMO. Tripping even on a low dose doesn't connect me deeper with nature, I end up visualizing faces in plants and such activities, which disturbs the internal journey. I wouldn't even think about a full journey in any public place. What tryptonaut said, you'll thank God for the walls around you.

By far the best trips I ever had took place in my friends apartment. Its too bad she doesn't live there anymore though. Her place was just so comfortable for chillin and tripping and then when you walk outside theres a pool and all these trees. Had some of the best days of my life there.

I've only really tripped here in the city. The park was enjoyable, especially the sandbox. My friends made sand creatures for me.

I think at night while snowing this place must be much better.

the beach was pretty awesome for me, we got there just after the acid kicked in and it was fucking beautiful
the water didnt interest me as much as i had expected it to, the sound of the waves lapping against the shore was nice though
the sand was amazing, all kinds of geometric patterns in it and it was like a liquid
i couldnt stop playing with the sand
then the beach got a bit more populated and we headed back

other than that my mates apartment has always been a good place to trip for me
easy to relax and i feel at home there (haha i should say here as im there atm)
I see.

Well, if you are planning on doing it in nature you have to be careful, when you take high doses it's possible to loose control, (i'm speaking from experience here), so if you don't know the place, or if it's dangerous to get lost the chance is high that you will, second, make sure that no people will interfere your trip, it can make you paranoid, and it can trigger a bad trip, especially acid can do this for you.

When you are still in full control of the trip this won't be much of a problem though, at low doses the tranquility of nature is perfect, high doses on the other hand i prefer to do at home, in company of only people that i know and trust very well, most of all i like to trip on high doses alone.

I'd say, the perfect setting is the one that you create yourself.
For me that's at home, doors locked, room darkened, candles, insence, dimmed lights, music that is sorted out before tripping, (for tripping i like ambient, chill, some dub, some IDM, tribal music, sometimes experimental music, instrumental spacerock or even classical) phones are turned off and unplugged, doorbells are ignored.

Simpel, but for me the perfect setting, a bad trip can be overcome pretty easily in this trustfull environment, while at parties, in nature, or public places it can get impossible to control.
Travelling through the cosmic beauty of existence.

Melting away in infinite bliss.

The setting DaZeD describes is the setting I usually have. Sometimes I sit in my garden with headphones on. I always trip in the evening or at night.

Some people don't have problems going outside, riding bikes and talking to strangers.

I have tripped on the beach and walked around my neighborhood.
It can be nice to walk around. And yes it can be dangerous. Maybe some of you remember a dutch member who had a accident while trWhen you never have taken it before be sure to take it in a safe setting. But also if you are more experience don't take to much risks with this. This are not toys to play around with. So please be careful. .

How about complete darkness eyes closed.
Just thinking about life and manifesting thoughts.
Praised be all! Life is a force of energy we are part of!
Celebrate and vibrate your consciousness within this miracle we call LIFE!

I once tripped in a forest from dawn to night with a friend.
Our central place was a cabin that was there.
It was a round wooden hut with an opening and there were two leather chairs inside.
We put candles all around, statues of budha's, pretty stones, weird objects and the like and burned incense.
The hut was at the edge of a very small water and it was our home, a place of security and comfort for te trip.
From there we ventured into the forest.
There were fields too.
I saw three deer and some rabbits very close (like they didn't even notice I was there, but they did obviously).
We came back to the hut occasionally.
You could see the flickering light and smell te incense from a distance.
When I came back here it was like a metaphor of returning to slight stability of mind after venturing off deep into the realms of the unknown, only to take a quick breath and venture off again.
There were no others the entire trip, even though we were quite close to some forest homes.
It was magical.
I very much appreciate the comfort of my home as well though.
Why are we here? To learn. Because truth is not told, it is realised (so I am not under the false impression of anyone viewing this as the truth just because I say it is)
